*John 17* – Lord make us one.
Together and in You Lord we will conquer.
*Harvest- Lost to be saved, discipled, strengthened, mission, evangelism*
In His Word Jesus teaches us about the Harvest:
*He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”*
Mark 4:26-29 NIV
Please Lord, help us to scatter the seeds at the right moment, to recognise and discern hearts that are soft and ready to receive Your seeds. Thank You, Holy Spirit that we can rest in the knowledge that according to this Word, You make the grain grow. It is not up to us to make the growth happen. Give us wisdom to recognize and discern the moment when the harvest is ripe, when any unbeliever in our midst is ready to receive You. Show us the role we should play in this process.
Oh Lord, Your desire is for every person on this planet to love You and walk in a personal relationship with You. You love us whether we love You back or not.
Lord, You gave us a free will and so many choose to serve the enemy and the world, rather than serving You. Others are blind and deceived and do not know and cannot see or fathom the indescribable wealth and inheritance that comes with the kingdom that You have to offer. They do not see the love and truth, the peace and light, the joy and hope that shines from Your kingdom. Oh, Father forgive us that we are not more transparent, that we hide what we have, that we are often too preoccupied and that we ourselves so often fail to bring the truth to those who are in darkness. Please help all of us, who are so privileged to already have seen the Light, to change our focus and make it our goal to bring others to You.
I pray, Holy Spirit that You walk ahead of us. I pray that You will turn the soil and soften hearts and remove veils of deceit from those who have not yet recognised You, Jesus Christ as the Light and only Hope.
I pray specifically for the Muslims of our towns, cities and nations (name those You know). I pray that You, Lord will break through those tough walls of deception. Jesus, we pray that You will appear to them in dreams and visions. I pray especially for key people to be brought to the truth. I pray that they will seek Your truth with all their heart.
We pray for those who have been disappointed, disillusioned or hurt by Your church and have, as a result, turned away from You and turned to other religions, witchcraft and nature, seeking truth. We ask for forgiveness that we, the church, have not portrayed You for who You are and ask that You will bring light, truth and restoration into these situations. Please reveal Yourself to them.
Father, we want to bring our family and friends before you, who do not serve You yet (name them). We love them so much. Oh, Lord, have mercy. Please reveal Yourself to them. May not one of them be lost eternally. Save them please, Jesus! Soften their hearts and prepare the soil. Please give us opportunities to share Your truth.
We pray for a great harvest of souls. May a great awakening begin. We pray that masses will come to You. Please send a fire of revival that will sweep across the nations.
Lord, please teach us how to pray! Forgive us where our prayers have been superficial and from a place of obligation. Please give us a deep compassion for the lost, so that our prayers will be real and sincere.
Father, we bring those, who are in missions before You. Please, Lord strengthen them. Give them new courage every day. Protect them and their families and surround them with people who will support them and strengthen them. We pray that You will walk ahead of them and soften the soil, Holy Spirit, so that the seeds will fall on fertile soil. Many have toiled for years and have seen very little fruit of their hard labour. Oh, Lord, help them not to give up, but to continue and persevere.
Father, I pray that in our everyday lives, we will be able to evangelise and disciple people around us. Show us opportunities and prepare the moments and words, so that it will come naturally. Forgive us Lord, where we have held back because of fear of man, where we have not shared Your gospel for fear of offending others. Give us courage and wisdom to speak Your truth into ripe situations.
Father, we honour and glorify Your name. We surrender our lives anew to You. May Your will be done and Your name be glorified!
Amen
